GHAAAA

About

GHAAAA is a web app that replays a collection of tweets. These tweets, sometimes known as live-tweets or tweet-alongs, have been tweeted during events, such as radio programmes, TV programmes, films etc.

Each event has a start time and an end time. Any tweets tweeted before the start time are displayed when you first open the app.

When you replay the audio and/or video of the event, press GHAAAA's play [ ► ] button and each tweet should re-arrive at roughly the right time, and accompanied by a volume-adjustable (press the [ ⋮ ] button) sound effect.

You can pause, fast-forward, rewind etc. in case things get a little out of sync.

When you reach the end of the programme, any remaining tweets re-arrive every 10 seconds - otherwise you could be staring at your screen for a very long time.

Why?

I made GHAAAA because I kept missing episodes of the radio sitcom Cabin Pressure, which were being fabulously live-tweeted by writer and performer and producer .

What does GHAAAA mean?

I'm not really sure, but it was the first word of the received after sharing the app, and I really liked it. Many thanks to @MusicalLottie for giving me permission to use it.

Privacy Concerns

GHAAAA does not track users and has no plans to do so. However, it does fetch the tweets from and I'm pretty sure they do.

Piracy Concerns

We should all be concerned about pirates. Fortunately, they can be easily detected by the tropical birds on their shoulders and the way they start most sentences with "Ha-haargh!".

Contact

I hope you enjoy using GHAAAA. Any feedback or suggestions is/are very welcome - please contact me on Twitter. Many thanks.
